Field Trip – where asphalt keeps silent, stories are needed

Field Trip is an online, interactive and participative storytelling experience about the Tempelhofer Feld. It tells the story of a hard-to-grasp and very precious place in the heart of Berlin, a former airport turned into a public space.
The vast lanes became a symbol for urban activism and freedom. Collecting the field‘s controversial stories of the past 80 years in an interactive web-film, Field Trip was created as a living documentary with a cinematographic approach. Furthermore people can contribute their own stories connected to the field and also re-use the creators’ materials. In this spirit the makers approach the truth through multi-perspective storytelling. By adding as many different angles as possible and allowing the user to take a stroll among them, every individual contributes to the collective memory of the field.
Field Trip is a role model for interactive and participative storytelling with the spirit of co-creation online as well as offline
