The Adam Mickiewicz Institute, the publisher of the online resource iam.pl (later called “Resource”) is especially concerned with the protection of the privacy of the Resource’s users and with the safety of the processing of their personal data.
The personal data of the Resource’s users contained in registration forms and the personal data collected automatically is processed according to the regulations of the bill from the 29th of August 1997 on the protection of personal data (J.L. from 2002, No. 101, pos. 926 with foll. ch.) and according to the regulations of the bill from the 18th of July 2002 on providing online services (J.L. from 2002, No. 144, pos. 1204, with foll. ch.). The users have the right to access and correct the personal data that refers to them. The data collected automatically may not be changed or deleted.
iam.pl uses cookies i.e. small text files that are stored on the hard drive of the computer of the Resource’s user. iam.pl also makes use of other similar technologies. These mechanisms are not aimed at obtaining any information about the individual users of the Resource – the said mechanisms are used to aggregate statistical data on the activity of the Resource’s users, and to enhance the functioning of the Resource according to standing internet standards. Cookies may also be used by research firms collaborating with the Resource, and by providers of multimedia applications. The user may remove the cookie files or change their settings in the internet browser. The removal or alteration of the settings of the cookie files may cause problems with the use of the Resource.
The Adam Mickiewicz Institute may reveal anonymous, group summaries and statistical summaries. This data does not however enable the identification of individual users and does not constitute personal data.
The Adam Mickiewicz Institute does not disclose the personal data of Clients to third persons or parties, except for cases in which the user expresses his or her consent, or the disclosure is demanded by authorized organs.
The Adam Mickiewicz Institute is not responsible for the privacy policies of the sites accessed by the Client via links posted in the Resource.
