Metadata standard in KRONIKA project
The speech will present a metadata standard, seen as universal tool for describing different objects of culture and science, providing unequivocal identification of each item in the KRONIKA system.

Rafał Leśkiewicz
Dr Rafał Leśkiewicz – historian, archivist & IT manager. Between 2001-2016, he was the president of the Institute of National Remembrance Archive, where he supervised the implementation of the Digital Archive project as well as developed the digitisation process of the Archive’s collection. Director of the Centre for Informatics Technology; Director of the IT Department at the Institute of National Remembrance; Expert at the Department of Data Openness and Digital Services Development at the Polish Ministry of Digital Affairs.
The aim of the presentation is to introduce a metadata standard, understood as a universal solution to describe various objects of culture and science, which guarantees a univocal identification of all objects featured in the KRONIKA database.
